About Lana
Lana began her vocal training as a teenager. She earned a degree in Classical Vocal Performance from the University of Arizona and went on to study Opera performance at the prestigious Eastman School of Music in New York. During her years of classical training Lana won multiple awards and scholarships, and performed a range of operatic and music theater roles. As a young adult Lana began to explore other musical genres and she fell in love with folk and Americana music. Inspired by powerful artists such as Joni Mitchell, Sarah Bareilles, Sarah Jarosz, and Brandi Carlile, Lana began to write and perform her own songs.
As a professional vocalist in the Seattle area, Lana has sung with the Emerald Ensemble, Solaris Vocal Ensemble, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Mercer Island, Epiphany Episcopal Parish Choir, and many other groups. She has worked as a session vocalist with Mirrorsound studios and recorded multiple pieces by the composer David Hahn.
