Music-based materials for speech therapy and early childhood education

Lana has worked as a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist since 2014. She serves kids from age 3 to 14 in the public schools. Lana uses music daily in therapy sessions to help kids learn new vocabulary and concepts. During COVID Lana was seeing students on zoom and started creating song videos to support families. She deciced to share these resources more widely and in 2022 she launched her youtube channel, "Musical Speech". She also sells digital materials to teachers, therapists and parents. Below are links to her Boom Learning Store as well as samples of her music for kids.

The Space Bubble Song

This simple song helps kids learn about the concepts of body autonomy, self-advocacy, and personal space. Use it for social emotional lessons or therapy sessions. Carry-over ideas are listed in the youtube video description.

Core Vocabulary Songs

These songs help kids learn different "core vocabulary" words. Core vocabulary words are the most commonly used words, and are used across different situations and contexts. They are the most powerful words for young kids with limited vocabulary.
